The annual Arrows & Antlers banquet was another great success. After taking a year off from celebrating with an official banquet (due to Covid) it was great to get the members and guests back together for a wonderful evening!
Once again, the spread of wild game was absolutely incredible! This year’s menu featured a variety of venison, elk, bear, javelina, wild turkey, pheasant, and assorted fish! A special “Thank You” is in order for Gary Merkes, Dennis McDonald, Steve Johnson, Soybean, and Travis Johnson for all of their assistance in the kitchen to make sure we all enjoyed the meal!
We had another great year of generous sponsor donations and door prizes, along with our specialty raffles. The Mission Crossbow set was won by Andrew Clark, The Mathews Vertix bow was won by Logan Haefner, and our annual beer/booze/cooler raffle was won by John Schroedl.
We also raffled off $5,500 in cash prizes, given away as 11-$500 prizes – those winners were: Jamie Srb, Joey Schweppe, Tanner Liebenthal, Kevin Moreland, Shawn Arnold, Zac Schoenberger, Tommy Kempfer, Tim Connaughty, and Joe Steinhofer won 3 times!
We had a great year of buck entries, with 17 initially entered into the contest (15 present at the banquet). The results were: 1st place – Buck Hampton (152 3/8), 2nd place – Tim Rozinski (148 5/8), 3rd place – Brad Gregorio (147 5/8), 4th place – Danny Hellenbrand (134 3/8), 5th place – Matt Fink (130 3/8), 6th place – Clif Otis (130 1/8), 7th place – Todd Brumm (130), 8th place – Steve Patterson (129 4/8), 9th place – Scot Junge (128 5/8), 10th place – Randy Vant Hoff (128), 11th place – Nick Schroedl (127 3/8), 12th place – Jerry Crook (125), 13th place – Derek Schmidt (122), 14th place – Terry Grossman (109 1/8), 15th place – Jason Powley (87 4/8), 16th place – Orion Barbic (unknown score – disqualified for absence), and 17th place – Fran Kilian (unknown score – disqualified for absence).

The membership fee for the upcoming season is $40, and the majority of our members paid their dues for the 2022 season – for those who didn’t, your $40 is due by August 1st, otherwise your membership is forfeited to a new member. The waiting list is ever-growing, so please get your dues paid as soon as possible. Remember that guest spots for the 2023 banquet are reserved on a first-come, first-serve basis, for $30 each, paid at the door.
